The Void

There comes a time in the awakening process where you are standing in the void. Standing might be the wrong term here. It more feels like you are dissolving, hovering, shaking, freefalling, grasping in the void.

This is the in-between. The transition. And it is so, so hard. You are dissolving who you once were to transition to who you will become.

It’s as if you are walking a tight rope, but with no tight rope.

It’s as if you are in space. You can’t see, can’t hear, can’t smell, can’t feel, can’t anything. You are there but not there.

This space can be incredibly uncomfortable.

You don’t know who you are. You have no idea what is happening. You don’t know what the future holds.

It’s easy to become hopeless. It’s easy to let the void swallow you whole. It’s easy to get lost in the void.

But maybe that’s the whole point.

You have to be completely barren and stripped of everything. You have to be vulnerable, raw, and open. That’s the only way.

Luckily, life is momentum, life is evolution, life is change. And you will move on. And you will cross the abyss, whether you want to or not. Because you have no other choice.

And in that abyss as you free flow between who you once were to become who you were meant to be, the momentum of spirit will build and you will be pushed to your new self.

To become the new takes grit.

To become the new takes courage.

To embody who you really are takes a leap of faith. It takes TRUST.

Some stages of awakening call for pure surrender, for me, this stage took pure willpower. To not give into the old or step backwards and have the faith to step into the new. It took determination with my entire being.

Choice is always part of the journey. What will you choose?
