Humility

Humility is a place of surrender. It’s a place of I don’t know and I take a step back and let in. It’s a humbling place to be. It pushes you back to your rawness. Without any shields or guards you just let it all drop and are just there. It’s a way of getting out of your ego mind and into your being. It jolts us out of who we think we are, it makes us reassess. We are humbled and are able to bow.

But this is not a complacent I give up, give in and bow down because I am a push over. Instead, it’s a releasing of all that you think you are. It’s taking a step back because you were shown that in your righteousness you aren’t always right. And in your individual-ness you are not always perfect. It’s a gift.

It shows you that your personality or ideas or actions are not always aligned and it’s a director back to who you are at your core. Humility forces us to align more with truth. To open up to what we might not know. And to allow our brains to relax and simply admit that we might not know. And that’s a good thing. It leaves us more open to every possibility. Humility is a gift. It’s an opening to see that you are not who you think you are. And that the universe is limitless.
